Information we collect
When you use the enquiry form on this site, we collect whatever you enter: your name, property area or postcode, email address, and the details of the work you need. We don't collect payment details through this site, and we don't ask for more information than we need to quote and carry out the work.
How we use it
We use the information you submit solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to quote, schedule and complete the electrical work. We do not sell, rent, or share your details with third parties for marketing purposes, and we do not add you to any mailing list without asking first.
Our legal basis for processing this data is legitimate interest, responding to a direct enquiry you've chosen to send us.
Third parties who process data on our behalf
- Web3Forms: the service that delivers enquiry form submissions to our inbox. Web3Forms processes the data you submit only to route it to us and does not use it for its own purposes.
- Google Fonts: this site loads typefaces from Google's font servers so pages display correctly. As part of that request, your browser sends your IP address to Google. No cookie is set by this request.
- Google Analytics: used, only if you accept the cookie banner on this site, to understand in aggregate how visitors use the site. IP addresses are anonymised. If you reject or ignore the cookie banner, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google Analytics.

How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to respond to you and, if the work goes ahead, for our own job and certification records, typically no longer than 6 years, in line with standard practice for electrical certification records, after which they're deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask us what personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how it's used, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email info@jemelectrical.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
